eThekwini Township provides training opportunities to individuals who have a sincere interest in pursuing a profession in one of the listed trades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applications are accepted from individuals who meet the requirements to participate in the eThekwini Municipal Craft Development Program in a variety of trades for a maximum of three years. The following trades have possibilities of development for artisans:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
i Minimum N2 certificate covering the relevant business theory topic; either
ii Technical\/Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science\/Engineering Science and related business theory subject; either
iii) Relevant (directly related to business theory subjects) N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma (S or N stream)
iv) Be residents of eThekwini (proof of residence required)
v) Be a South African citizen with a valid identity document (ID)
vi) Applicants must be unemployed;
vii) Must have passion and interest in applied fields;
viii) Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35;
ix) Applicants should not have previously participated in a similar apprenticeship program;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants will need to undergo several pre-screenings as part of the hiring process to be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Candidates will be required to complete an apprenticeship program according to the specified and regulated criteria of the applicable Seta and the National Artisan Moderator Body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program will include practical training on site, as well as assistance to a training institution to obtain the theoretical component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
