You will be responsible to maintain a clean and neat store, by Dis-Chem\u2019s hygienic standards. The areas will include the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office and canteen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A minimum of 6 months\u2019 cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound command of the English language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic customer service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional language that is area specific<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bilingual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous retail store cleaning experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Specification\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide a daily high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor and communal areas, before the store opens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop routines to ensure all areas of the store are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean, and stocked with the necessary products at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be available throughout operational hours to clean up as and when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure correct cleaning products and equipment are used for specific jobs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the wet floor sign is up and visible at both ends, when cleaning the floor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be friendly, professional and able to assist customers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Competencies<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prior cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound command of English (written and oral)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trustworthy and honest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presentable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to take instructions and follow through<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prior retail store cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bilingual<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Special conditions of employment:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able and physically fit for walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and pushing, pulling lifting and moving objects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable transport and\/or reside in close proximity to the store<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear credit and criminal records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Remuneration and benefits:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Market related salary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br><u><br>Dis-Chem is an equal opportunity employer.
