Purpose of the Job
To get all of the council\u2019s mail ready for dispatch, which includes delivering the items that are being sent and physically handling the trays of mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Areas of Responsibility
All mail, both internal and external, is prepared for dispatch by this department.
Ships large amounts of mail to the post office.
Provides services to deliver mail within the Council, to the Post Office, or to customers who have accounts with the Council.
As required, performs administrative tasks of a fundamental nature.
Assesses the physical state of any issues that are associated with postal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements That Are Important
Passed Matric with Mathematics and\/or accounting skills are required (NQF Level 4) or an equivalent.
A license to operate a motor vehicle that is valid.
3 months of experience that is relevant.
Ability to use a computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12th grade (National Qualifications Framework Level 4) or its equivalent, along with a certificate in the field of finance and either mathematics or accounting.
Six months of experience that is relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
