Job Introduction:
G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, is building a Talent Pool for a Senior Technician in the Electronic Security Services (ESS) division based at the following locations: North West and Northern Cape, South Africa.
The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which Senior Technician plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:
Main Purpose of the Position
Deliver technical services relating with the implementation, installation and maintenance of technology contracts and projects. Assist with site surveys for new implementations and compile scope of work for hardware/software requirements. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations is maintained at all times in the delivery of technical services.
Effective management and administration of the technology contract to ensure sound financial performance
Plan and manage the profitability of projects and SLA contracts with a focus on maintenance, sustainability, cost effectiveness and labour.

Co-coordinating the Maintenance/Project process flow and activities that has a direct/indirect impact on the outcome and success of contract/project.
Plan and coordinate daily tasks and subordinates, with close monitoring of standards and hours.
Client retention and customer service levels
Ensuring that all required formal customer meetings are scheduled, attended and minuted.
Maintenance of positive customer relationships
Quality Management/Ops Process management – adherence to quality standard
Conduct and oversee quality controls and inspections
Effective management of business development function
New business development
Identifying new business opportunities in the region’s sphere of operations, as well as in terms of growth of business with existing customers.
Health and Safety
Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year
Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
Discuss all safety incidents
Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
Attend safety education and refresher programs
Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
Distribute safety information as and when required
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualification and Experience
Grade 12
A valid Driver’s License
Formal Technical Training advantageous
Electronic Security Services /Maintenance experience
Extensive experience w.r.t. implementation of the following systems:
I. CCTV
II. Access Control & Time Attendance
III. Intruder Detection
IV. Fire Detection
V. Fire Suppression
Experience in Sales by compiling scope of work
Financial Management relative to managing profitability
Good conceptual interpretation and presentation of Financial and Operational Reports to Executive Management.
Software Knowledge Level
Broad knowledge of Time and Attendance.
Broad knowledge of Access Control.
Broad knowledge of CCTV
Strong knowledge base on communication protocols i.e. TCP/IP.
Basic Computer literacy and proficiency.
