Cleaning of operational equipment, including windows and cabins on ship-to-shore cranes, is one of the position’s primary outputs.
- Examining the state of the container
- Reefer surveillance operations
- Twist lock rail wagon opening and closing
- Cargo loading, unloading, and stacking in accordance with established operating procedures
- Hooking and disengaging
- Tarring and untarring as necessary 8. Adding and removing dunnage
- Cleaning of workspaces, rail trucks, equipment, workshops, offices, sheds, and restrooms as directed
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including accident reports.
- Determining the appropriate cargo handling gear or equipment
Competencies & Experience:
- Matriculation or NQF Level 4 with a minimum of two years of port worker or general worker experience
